 Welcome to our website

Chuluni Girls Secondary School is a pure girls school. It was established in 1979 as a harambee school with an aim of promoting girl child education under the sponsorship of African Inland Church and over the years it has grown to a three streamed boarding school under county category with an enrollment of 600 students. 90% of our students are drawn from Kitui County while 10% come from other counties. It is located along Kitui-Kibwezi road 5 km from Kitui town.

Our girls perform well in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E). We have been able to post very good results in our KCSE exams for the last 3 years which have seen us take many students to the University for Degree Programmes while others have enrolled for diploma programmes

According to Ms. Munyao, the School Deputy Principal in her office, states that the aim of her office has been uniquely one; to make Chuluni girls secondary school an ideal school. This can only be achieved with instilling high levels of discipline within the periphery of the school and especially among the student populace. As an office, we strive in bringing up and nurturing a holistic student with the skills to fit in the contemporary society. In our mandate to instill discipline we urge the cooperation of all stakeholders to achieve this noble duty.
The Board of Management
, Principal, Parents, Guidance and Counseling department, disciplinary committee, class teachers and dorm mistresses, and all teachers in general have often come in handy to maintain precedential levels of discipline in the school. In achieving its role of discipline management, the office of the
Deputy Principal works in harmony with the students’ council. The student council is formed by a body of students who are democratically elected by the other students after a vigorous campaign period. This is in with the guideline set by the Ministry of Education.
The school’s daily routine has also been the strength of the office. It ensures that the students are occupied all through. The office has instilled programmes aimed at making the student her own manager; a student based model discipline management. We have in place student directed activities that have been a major milestone in the office. The inclusion of self directed activities instills a sense of responsibility as the student is charged with the responsibility of a self based timetable. Games and co-curricular activities have
gone a long way to cater for students well being in the school. The inclusion of weekly devotion has been a pillar that reminds the students on the vital role that religion plays in their holistic growth. We also invoke the power of the Almighty God as we endeavor to be an institution of academic excellence.
